Twenty Two takes its name from the floor it occupies: Level 22 of the Portomaso Tower, also known as the Portomaso Business Tower, at the northern end of St Julian's. The tower sits within the Portomaso complex, home to the Portomaso Marina, the Hilton Malta, the Portomaso Casino, and several Portomaso restaurants.

Inside, the space is split-level with detached seating areas, leather sofas, and a central dancefloor. The VIP section is elevated with direct views over the crowd and out through the floor-to-ceiling glass. The sound and lighting system is state of the art but kept at a level where you can still hold a conversation in the lounge areas. On clear nights, you can see Gozo on the horizon.
